CBTF Annual General Meeting

June 30, 2009 - On Tuesday, June 30, the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation conducted the Annual General Meeting for its members.  The meeting was held in Edmonton, Alberta, during the Canadian Baton Twirling Championships.

Reports were presented by the Directors and will be posted on the website shortly.

Voting for the position of Coaches' Representative was conducted in May/June and the results announced at the AGM. Kim Genton was elected Coaches' Representative for the 2009-11 term.

Elections for a number of positions were also conducted at the AGM, with the following results:

  • President: Jeff Johnson
  • 2nd Vice-President: Beth Jamieson
  • Secretary: Lisa Wilde

Sara Thibeault has been nominated for the position of Athletes' Representative. Voting for Athletes' Representative will be conducted by a mail-in/fax-in ballot. All CBTF-registered athletes that will be 15 years of age or older by the end of 2009 are eligible to vote. Ballots will be sent out by mail - CBTF athletes should watch for their ballot in their Canada Post mailbox. Voting will remain open until July 30, 2009 - ballots must be received on/before that date to be valid.

Ron Kopas has been nominated for the position of Judges' Representative. Voting for Judges' Representative will be conducted online, using the cbtf.ca website. All CBTF-registered judges are eligible to vote. Judges will have to log in to the website using their personal username/password in order to record their vote.
