Coaches Certification Program
The coaching certification program is divided into three sections:
LEVEL 1 Coach
- Seminar is approximately 8 to 10 hours in length
- Upon successful completion, the coach has the technical knowledge to instruct Recreational athletes
- Certification requires:
- Successful completion of the Level 1 Coaches Course
- Minimum age of 16 to become a Level 1 Coach
The Level 1 Coaching course was revised, effective November 5 2011. Previous students that had completed some, but not all, of their Level 1 requirements are asked to use the CBTF Contact Us page to contact the CBTF Coaches' Representative to determine their current status and any outstanding requirements under the new program.
LEVEL 2 Coach
- Seminar is approximately 15 hours in length
- Upon successful completion, the coach has the technical knowledge to instruct Level 1 athletes as well as Pre-competitive and higher levels of the Skills Development Program
- Certification requires:
- Successful completion of the Level 2 Coaches Course
- Attendance at the NCCP Course Introduction to Competition - Part B (replacing Level 2 Theory)
- Minimum age of 16 to become a Level 2 Coach
LEVEL 3 Coach
- Seminar is approximately 15 hours in length
- Upon successful completion, the coach is certified to coach Level 1 and 2 athletes as well as all Competitive athletes.
- Certification requires:
- Successful completion of the Level 3 Coaches Course
- Attendance at the NCCP course Introduction to Competition - Part B (replacing Level 2 Theory)
- Minimum age of 16 to become a Level 3 Coach
