Former Canadian Champion Touring Europe

March 10, 2009 - Neil Sochasky is now touring in Europe with the Dance Company O Vertigo in the production La Chambre Blanche (www.overtigo.com).

A native of New Brunswick, Neil Sochasky received his dance training at York University in Ontario. In 2001, he began working with Toronto Dance Theatre, later joining Dancemakers. As an independent artist, he worked with choreographers Danny Grossman, Eryn Dace Trudell, Christopher House, Allen Kaeja, Julia Sasso, and Michael Trent, among others. He is also a certified Thai Massage practitioner. He recently moved to Montreal and became a member of O Vertigo in 2007.

Neil Sochasky won the Bronze Medal in the Junior Men division at both the 1994 World Championships (Newmarket, Ontario) and the 1995 World Championships (Geneva, Switzerland). Within Canada Neil has also received many honours, including: John Smetzler High Point Men's Solo (1993), Grand National Men's Solo Champion (1993), and Athlete of the Year - Junior Male (1995).
