Monica began Baton Twirling at the age of 2. She received the NB Junior Athlete of the year for 2007-2008 and the NB Senior Athlete of the year for 2010-2011.
In 2006, Monica went to watch the World Championships in Hamilton, ON. Ever since, she dreamed of being a member on team Canada and worked harder then ever to optain her spot on the team. This is Monica's first year as a member of the Canadian Contingent and she is looking forward to representing her country at the upcoming WBTF International Cup. She is also a Level 2 coach.
Monica attended 5 Canadians: Toronto(2006), Regina(2007), Moncton(2008), Edmonton(2009), Toronto(2010). She will also be attending this year's Nationals in Winnipeg. In September, she will enter grade 11 as a student at Mathieu-Martin Highschool in Dieppe. Monica attended many competitions in North America such as Twirl Mania and Quebec Cup.
In addition to baton, Monica also takes dance and piano lessons. She enjoys the world of fashion and art.
