Team Canada Welcomed in Sydney

August 2, 2009 - The Canadian Contingent was formally welcomed to the 2009 International Cup at a Welcome Party held in Sydney, Australia on August 2 2009.

Most of the Contingent have already been in-country for a few days and have been enjoying the sights of Sydney as well as preparing themselves for the upcoming competition at daily practices. Read more »

Sydney International Cup Compulsory Draw

May 1, 2009 - Paola DeMarchi, WBTF Technical Chair, announced today that Compulsory SET B has been drawn for the 2009 International Cup in Sydney, Australia. Both Junior Men and Junior Women for all WBTF Levels competing in Sydney (Elite, Level A, Level B) will compete using SET B. Read more »

Canadian Judges to 2009 International Cup Selected

January 26, 2009 - The two judges selected to represent Canada at the 2009 International Cup in Sydney, Australia will be Brenda Cooper and Lucinda McMaster.

Both are fully-certified WBTF Masters Judges, certified to judge all WBTF International Cup events. In addition Brenda Cooper is also a certifed WBTF Clinician. Read more »

January 25, 2009 - The Canadian Baton Twirling Federation (CBTF) named the 36 athletes who will be invited to represent Canada at the 5th WBTF International Cup, to be held August 6-9 in Sydney, Australia. Read more »

International Cup Late Declaration Process

Canada is allowed to send up to 10 athletes in all Events/Divisions/Levels - spots in some Events/Divisions/Levels are still available. These remaining vacancies can be filled by athletes following the Late Declaration Process, strictly on a first-come first-served basis. Once all spots in an Event/Division/Level have been filled, no further declarations for that Event/Division/Level will be accepted. Read more »
