Coaches LEVEL 2 Requirements
Pre-requisites:
1. Level 1 Coaching Certification (Completion of Current Level 1 CBTF Course and NCCP Part A).
2. Must be a member in good standing of the CBTF Technical Association.
3. Must purchase a CBTF Level 2 Coaches Manual in which the following assignments must be completed and submitted to the course conductor prior to the course commencing:
- Coaching Credentials
- Pre-entrance Open Book Examination - Technical
- Pre-entrance Open Book Examination - Coaches Level 2
4. Must complete all of the CBTF Technical and Practical Expectations:
- Attendance - 100% of the Technical and Coaches Level 2 portions of the course
- Obtain a score of greater than 70% on the Technical and Coaches Level 2 Pre-entrance Examinations
- Obtain a score of greater than 70% on the Technical and Coaches Level 2 Practical Examinations
- Understanding of the Technical Skills (Pass/Fail from course participation)
5. Minimum Age to take the course is 16 years old (must be at least 16 or older on the day of the course).
To become a fully certified Level 2 Coach the following three components must be successfully obtained:
1. Theory - NCCP
- Participation in the National Coaches Certification Program Course ‘Introduction to Competition - Part A’ (replacing Level 1 Theory). NCCP Part A is offered by Provincial Sport Organizations.
2. Technical - CBTF
- Successfully complete the CBTF Level 2 Technical Portion administered by the Provincial Baton Twirling Association
- Must pass the Technical and Coaches Level 2 Pre-entrance examination with a score of greater than 70%
- Must pass the Technical and Coaches Level 2 Practical examination with a score of greater than 70%
3. Practical - CBTF
- Participation and understanding of the practical applications of the course (Pass/Fail from course participation)
