The Accident and Injury-related insurance forms have been updated, as of January/2010. Please destroy any old forms you may have and use the current forms. The attached forms should be used to record any accidents or injuries that might occur at any CBTF-santioned event. These forms have been approved for use by our insurance broker.

A 'quick reference' one-page summary of the various CBTF group events is attached. It is meant as a summary tool, not as a replacement for the complete Group Manual. This quick reference shows the levels, advancement scores, group sizes, age divisions and time limits for all events.

What is the CBTF Progressional Model?

The Progressional Model was developed by the CBTF Technical Committee in 1999. It was loosely modelled after the Canadian Sport Centre’s Long Term Athlete Development Model to depict six phases of participation available to athletes, coaches, judges and volunteers within the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation.

The 2011 International Cup Rules & Regulations document is available for download. Please note this document was updated by the WBTF on April 11, 2011 - all coaches should ensure they are using the most up-to-date version.

A model for judging seminars, not exam courses, that would offer the mechanics of judging within the different events and receive input from the professionals in our sport. Consider holding these seminars during an athlete’s clinic or even put a week-end aside just for this event.

At the WBTF 2009 Winter Technical Meeting, a modified approach to judging Freestyle was presented to the Committee. This judging system has been in development for several years - primarily by France and Italy but also including input from a committee including Jackie Stewart and Dale White.

Clubs must complete the attached Enrolment Form to begin participating in the CBTF Shop & Support program (clubs may also request additional information directly from Preferred One at their website). A 'Dear Supporters' template letter is also provided to help you get started.

DVDs of these updated role models are available for all Canadian IC Judges and Coaches, at no charge. The explanatory scripts that accompany those videos are attached for download.
