DIRECTIVE: Compulsory/Short Program Suit for 2010 Competition Season

For the 2010 competition season, the Compulsory Suit dress code requirements will remain relaxed.

In April/2009 the new 'Fever' Compulsory Suit [1] was introduced, and made its international debut at the 2009 International Cup. At the November/2009 Fall Board Meeting, the Board passed a motion mandating the use of the 'Fever' suit, effective September 2010.

The practical impact of these decisions is:

  • Freestyle members of the Canadian Contingent to the 2010 World Championships must wear the 'Fever' suit.
  • Level A athletes, at Open, Provincial or National competitions must wear the 'Fever' suit beginning September 2010. Until then, they may wear the 'Fever' Suit, the 'Simply Best' Suit or a plain black leotard.
  • Level B & C athletes, at Open, Provincial or National compeititions may wear either the 'Fever' Suit or a plain black leotard beginning September 2010. Until then, they may wear the 'Fever' Suit, the 'Simply Best' Suit or a plain black leotard.
