Canadian Nations Cup & World Championship Athletes will participate in the Team Canada Secret Pal Exchange!

The objective is to foster team spirit and to help your Secret Pal feel happy, motivated and part of the team through little gifts, notes, cards, positive phrases, pictures etc.

Secret Pals will be assigned by our Team Managers. Don't tell anyone who your Secret Pal is - try and keep it a secret until the final exchange!

All members of the CBTF Contingent (athletes, coaches, judges, officials) to the IBTF Nations Cup and World Championship are ambassadors for Baton Twirling in Canada and of the CBTF. This privilege is accompanied by certain expectations and responsibilities, as outlined in the attached Code of Conduct.

These Team Rules are made so that all Contingent members have the best possible experience. Let’s all work together to present a top-notch image and leave a positive image – a goal to which everyone must strive equally.

The Contingent Managers need to collect some personal and health information from all athletes so they can better serve the needs of the Contingent members.

This form contains a release allowing team management to seek medical treatment for your child in the event of an emergency.

December 19, 2024 - The 2025 Canadian Baton Twirling Championship promises to be a spectacular event featuring Canada’s top baton twirling athletes. The event involves over 200 athletes competing on an individual basis, from compulsory events to crowd pleasers, like dance twirls and freestyles., as well as team events. The anticipated daily attendance will range from 500 to 800 fans!

As of January 14, 2025 - Adjudicators previously certified as S1 through S4 are currently working through a re-certification process under the revised Skills Development Program. The S1 through S4 certifications are no longer valid. The list below will be updated as these re-cerfications are processed.

These lists are based upon information received from the declarations. They have been verified for compliance with the CBTF Declaration Policy.

Recognize: (to see and hear)

To perceive many things simultaneously – content of baton and body, execution of baton and body, performance and technical strengths and deficiencies. For appropriate events also consider musicality.

As part of the athlete accreditation process, the CBTF requires that all athletes provide a Health Certificate indicating they are in generally good health and are fit to compete.

November 18, 2024 - The Canadian Baton Twirling Federation is now accepting applications for the position of Team Manager for the Canadian Contingent to the 2025 IBTF Technical World Championship and Nations Cup competitions in Turin, Italy.

CBTF will select two Team Managers, who will be responsible for the IBTF Technical World Championship and Nations Cup and travel with the contingent. This is an honorary position - no salary or honorarium will be paid beyond travel and living expenses.

October 21, 2024 - At the 2024 CBTF Fall Conference, the Board requested information on the background and the option to ask more questions about moving towards IBTF.

The following is intended to be a general discussion and background information piece, and it will also include answers to questions that were specifically sent in by the provinces who chose to do so.
