  Sandi Watt moved that CBTF renew its General and Directors & Officers' Liability insurance with ING (at a cost of $6,583.68 including Retail Sales tax) and its Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance with AXA (with no changes expected) for the period September 1, 2009 to September 1, 2010.

  Michelle Bretherick moved to accept the insurance quotes received for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and General Liability and Directors' Insurance.

  Gail Ashcroft moved that, commencing with the 2011-2012 competition season, there be a comprehensive Waiver included in membership as approved by our insurer.

Michelle Bretherick moved that CBTF accept the insurance estimates provided by Peter Yeh and remit payment in the following amounts:

Accidental Death & Dismemberment = $885.60
General Liability & Directors & Officers Liablity = $7,111.80

 

2012 SBM MOTION #5
  Michelle Bretherick moved that provinces submit their current financial statements to Second Vice-President (Beth Jamieson) and the Insurance Liaison (Sandi Watt) by April 30 of each year.

 

2014 AGM MOTION #1
 

Jeff moved to accept the Province of Nova Scotia as a Full Member Province of the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation as of September 7, 2014 with the following provisions and rights:

  1. That Nova Scotia’s Non-Profit Society Status Certificate has been received and a copy to be forwarded to the CBTF President.
  2. The Nova Scotia Chairperson and Technical Chairperson may attend all CBTF meetings with full speaking and voting privileges.
  3. Nova Scotia’s registered athletes may participate in all CBTF sanctioned competitions and events.
  4. Nova Scotia’s registered athletes may represent their province at CBTF national competitions.
  5. Nova Scotia shall have its own provincial membership form and fees commencing in the 2015-16 season and members shall continue to have insurance coverage through CBTF Direct Membership.
Effective: September 7, 2014
