Pilot Projects

A PILOT PROJECT FOR THE 2025-2026 SEASON

The intent of the Advancement Appeal process is to give coaches a mechanism to challenge advancement scores that may not reflect the athlete’s performance. The process is designed to be confidential to protect the competitor, coach, and judge using a fair and independent review mechanism that ensures the timely distribution of a decision.

The appeal process has a fee attached ($50) and is time-critical (appeals must be submitted within 48 hours of the end of the competition, including payment of all fees).

All provinces/clubs that are conducting an official CBTF Pilot Project are required to report the results of that project to the CBTF. To provide some guidance on the report contents, and to ensure some consistency, the CBTF Technical Committee requests that the attached Template be used for all Pilot Project Reports.

The attached SAMPLE is also provided to give an example of the level of detail and content expected in a Pilot Project Report.
