2013 International Cup Contingent Team Manager Selected

April 16, 2013 - Today the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation announces that Leah Howard, DC, has been selected to be the Team Manager for the Canadian Contingent to the 2013 WBTF International Cup in Almere, Netherlands.

The selection committee consisted of: Joanne Moser (CBTF 1st Vice-President), Beth Jamieson (CBTF 2nd Vice-President) and Elan Paluck (CBTF Technical Chair). The committee was chaired by Jeff Johnson (CBTF President).

Leah holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has been in practice since her graduation in 2011.

Leah also brings an extensive background in many different sports as an athlete, doctor, coach and administrator to the position. She was a competitive gymnast (Artistic Gymnastics) and remains involved as a Level II NCCP Gymnastics Coach. She is also involved in Women's Soccer, where she both competed with and organized the CMCC team that travelled to Florida for the Chiro Games.

Within baton twirling, Leah has been involved for several years - as a gymnastics coach as well as volunteering at the club and provincial levels.

Leah will be on-site at the 2013 International Cup Qualifier for First Aid and she will be working with the Coaches and Athletes named to the 2013 Canadian Contingent in the months leading up to the International Cup.
