2025 Technical World Championship and Nations Cup Contingent Team Managers Selected

February 9, 2025 - Today the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation is pleased to announce the Team Mangers for the Canadian Contingent to the IBTF Nations Cup and World Technical Championship competitions in Torino, Italy. Dana Peteleski and Madi McKnight have been selected as the Nations Cup Team Managers. Dana will also be the Team Manager for the IBTF World Technical Championship.

Both Dana and Madi have backgrounds making them very well-suited for the Team Manager roles.

  • Dana has been involved with Baton Twirling since the age of 5. She represented Canada in the Senior Women’s Freestyle at the 1996 and 1997 WBTF World Championships and was a member of Canada’s bronze medal TransCanada Team in 1997. Dana was the 1st team manager for CBTF at the 2007 World Championships and has attended numerous international competitions as an athlete, coach, volunteer and spectator. Dana continues to be involved with twirling as a coach and is currently the CBTF Technical Chair and National Competition Director.
  • Madi holds a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy (Honours) from Sheridan College and is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. Madi has been involved with twirling since the age of 4 and was a member of Team Canada at the 2017 and 2019 WBTF International Cup. Madi continues to be involved with twirling at the coaching level.

We are very proud to have such wonderful and experienced Team Managers for our contingent this year and we look forward to working with Madi and Dana to make the competitions great for our athletes, judges, officials, and supporters in Torino.

The CBTF Executive acted as the selection committee. The committee was chaired by the President (CBTF President).
