Some updates on recent CBTF goings-on...

CBTF Cookbook

The CBTF Cookbook project is well underway.

Recipes can be submitted using our online form, at http://www.cbtf.ca/form/cbtf-cookbook-recipe-submission. It contains all of the instructions.

Fall Board Meeting Minutes

These have now been distributed to the CBTF Board members. Please contact your provincial representative for detailed updates on the Fall Board meeting.

Information on the website has been updated to reflect our many decisions at the meeting:

2010 Canadian Team Trials

The competition is scheduled to occur over the May long weekend and will be run in conjunction with the Queen City Classic - an Open competition in Regina.

The QCC host club (Sundown Optimist Buffalo Gals) have offered to share their competition weekend and this will help reduce the cost to CBTF for the Trials. Please encourage your athletes and clubs to support that competition.

The most up-to-date source of information for the Trials competition - hotels, schedule, forms, etc - is the CBTF website. The 2010 Trials have a set of pages, located at http://www.cbtf.ca/trials2010.

Each province is allowed to send up to five competitors in each division, with extra berths awarded for placements in the 'Top 15' in the Junior and Senior Women divisions (ie. not Men, Pairs or Team) at the previous Team Trials (2008 in Moncton).

Karen Gratton has sent out those numbers to the provincial reps - questions about those counts should be directed to Karen.

2010 Canadian Championships

The competition is scheduled to occur over the first full week in July at York University in Toronto.

The most up-to-date source of information for the Trials competition - hotels, schedule, forms, etc - is the CBTF website. The 2010 Trials have a set of pages, located at http://www.cbtf.ca/canadians2010.

The Organizing Committee will be introducing some innovative ideas at this year's event - a fundraising golf tournament and a pre-purchased meal plan to name a few. Please take a few extra minutes and read through the information when it is posted - it won't all be the 'same old same old'.

CBTF Data Input Coordinator

After many years of dedicated service, Sylvia Kernohan decided to relinquish her responsibilities as the CBTF Data Input Coordinator. At the Fall Board Meeting, Candy Tedford was selected as Sylvia's replacement. Sylvia Kernohan has been working to close off the current year and transfer the programs to Candy.

A reminder that Competition results should be sent to Candy within 7 of the competition's completion. Candy has created a mailbox specifically for any CBTF Data Input related questions (candy-cbtfbatonatlive [dot] com).

Website

Over the past two years, we have been working to transform our website into an active and current source of information for CBTF members. This is an ongoing process - if you have any suggestions of information that should be on the website, please forward them to adminatcbtf [dot] ca.

CBTF has a Twitter feed, which we use to announce news or events that appear on the website. Our Twitter name is: cbtfca. Anyone with a Twitter account can follow us. An easy-to-use 'follow CBTF on Twitter' link is located under the 'Community' menu.
