1989 FBM MOTION #24
  Betty Infilise moved that if the CBTF Executive does not receive the information from Kathy Jorgenson regarding "Who's Who" that legal action be initiated.

 

1991 AGM MOTION #6
  Sandi Smith moved that CBTF advertise to the membership via provincial newsletters that reimbursement for Who's Who is available. Proof in the form of a cancelled cheque or receipt of money order must be received by the CBTF Treasurer on or before December 31,1991. After this date, the funds will be considered a donation to CBTF.

 

1994 SBM MOTION #6
  Carol Robinson moved that we accept the Proposed 1994-95 CBTF Budget as distributed with the inclusion of an additional $1,500.00 to legal fees.

 

1995 SBM MOTION #15
 

Cyndy Park moved that we accept the Limitation of Liability Clause Terms and Conditions Item One (1) and Two (2) as distributed which reads:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. I agree that my membership is subject to the athletes' agreement and to the Rules, Regulations and Bylaws of the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation and the ___(name of provincial association they are registering with)____.
  2. The member agrees that, whether or not such damages or losses are caused by negligence, in no event shall the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation, the ___(name of provincial association)___, or their directors, officers or employees have any liability to the member for damages or losses of any kind whatsoever or for any indirect, special or consequential damages even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

1997 FBM MOTION #27
 

Betty Davis moved that the CBTF 1st Vice President investigate the legal rights regarding "Permanent Residents" competing for Provincial and Canadian Championship Titles.

DIRECTIVE: Check with at least two other sports.

1999 SBM MOTION #19 (AMENDED - Motion #7 - 99 FBM)
  Cyndy Park moved that CBTF not refund the judge's airline ticket fee that is being requested by said judge regarding the 1998 Canadian Team Trials.

 

2008 FBM MOTION #45
 

Sylvia Kernohan moved that CBTF adopt the following standard Waiver as presented at the 2008 FBM for all CBTF sanctioned events that require a waiver:

WAIVER - Participant's Assumption of Risk

"I am aware and understand that there are a number of inherent risks involved in my participation in this sporting activity which are beyond the control of the Name of National Organization, the Name of Provincial Organization, the Host's Name (club), the Event Director, the Name of Facility and the Facility Owner. I further agree that I am assuming personal responsibility for any costs as well as any loss, damage, injury or ambulance service resulting from or in connection with such participation at the Name and Date of the Event."

I have read and understand the Waiver.
