1983 AGM MOTION #36 (AMENDED - 86 FEM - Motion #24)
  Betty Infilise moved that, after the selection of the Canadian Contingent, the Executive appoint the coaches and/or Team Managers, if applicable, taking into consideration applications received.

 

1990 FEM MOTION #9
  Bev Latrace moved that the CBTF Executive support, in principle, the concept of having a Team Manager for Canada's 1991 WBTF Team.

 

1990 FEM MOTION #10
  Bev Latrace moved that the official Canadian Contingent must sign and return to the Team Manager or Board Reps, the official CBTF Release Form prior to departure for the World Championships starting in 1991. Those declining to sign such a form will be excused from the Canadian Contingent.

 

1990 FBM MOTION #11
  Deardra Leslie moved that there be a Team Manager selected prior to the 1991 Canadian Championships to accompany the Canadian Contingent to the World Championships.

 

1990 FBM RECOMMENDATION
 

The Duties of the Team Manger to include:

  • All travel arrangements (ground and air)
  • Accommodation arrangements
  • Conducting all Canadian Team briefings and meetings
  • Organization of practice times and locations
  • Organization of all meals/drinks for athletes & coaches during practice and competition times.
  • Distribution and collection of release forms
  • Distribution, collection and mailing of completed entries, photos, passport numbers and program inserts to host country
  • Distribution and collection of medical forms
  • Ensure that all athletes are chaperoned
  • All schedules, general information and ALL changes be made known to the entire contingent
  • Be in attendance for the WBTF Board Meetings
  • Be in attendance for all practice sessions, music tests, contest days, all side trips, parties and tours for WBTF trip
  • Be prepared to drive van/car in host country (have international drivers license and credit card)
  • Be bonded (will carry slush fund)
  • Liaison with CBTF President and CBTF Technical Chair

 

2007 FBM MOTION #22
  Jeff Johnson moved that each province conduct events specifically targeted to raise funds for the Canadian Contingent Team Manager on a discretionary basis. Athletes on the Canadian Contingent will be expected to fund any shortfall, using a cost-sharing formula between International Cup and World Cup participants to fund the Team Manager.

 

2008 FBM MOTION #10
  Lisa Wilde moved that we continue with the Canadian Team Manager Program for International Cup 2009 with each province to undertake events to raise funds for this program and athletes on the Canadian Team to cover any shortfall (reference motion #22 – 2007 FBM).
