Solo Role Model Update and 2013 Technical Kick-off (Option 2)
During the webinar, Ron will review the new Solo Role Models (which came into effect January 1st, 2013) and explain how those scores translate into CBTF scores for the upcoming season.
Elan will also provide you with a brief update on other changes for 2013 (e.g., drop penalties, flashing of scores, CBTF grading system for Primary athletes) to help ensure that you can start your season armed with the most up-to-date information.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THE WEBINAR?
- All CBTF Module 2 (or higher) judges
- All L2 or L3 Coaches with competing athletes
- Any judge wishing to hold a Head Judge position this season must attend one of the updates. Only judges that have attended one of these two updates are eligible to accept a Head Judge contract.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
You will require access to a computer with a microphone and speakers. All newer computers come equipped with this. However, if your computer is old, you can pick up a decent head set at any Best Buy or electronics store for under $10-20.
Prior to the webinar, you should take the time to view the new solo role models. We will be referring to videos and completing a brief practical assignment, so it is important that you are somewhat familiar with the new DVD. All WBTF Master Judges have access to the WBTF Solo role models via the WBTF website. All other judges and coaches need to purchase a new Role Model DVD via the CBTF website (http://www.cbtf.ca/store). The new DVD should be ready for purchase within the next 1-2 days. However, because there is such a short timeline leading up to the first update, we are providing online access to all registrants via the CBTF website.
HOW DO YOU REGISTER?
Email Elan (technicalchair
cbtf [dot] ca) your name AND the date that you wish to register for. Once you have registered, Elan will email you a package containing a number of resources for the upcoming season, as well as directions on how to log-in to this online, live session.
Questions or items you would like addressed during the webinar, should be sent in advance directly to Elan.
