The responsibilities of the Short Program Penalty Judge are as follows:

  • Senior A: both Count 1 and Accessory Material
  • Junior A: just Count 1
  • BA, all age divisions: just Count 1

 

Accessory Material

Judges shall assess a penalty each time the athlete performs a disallowed move in their accessory material. This penalty only applies to the Senior A Short Program, as those are the only athletes performing accessory material between the required elements.

Effective January 1, 2021, at competitions during the group events, the name of the club is not to be announced when the group is taking the floor for competition. As a clarification, the name of the group should not be included in the title of the group.

February 2024 - The following club codes are used in the Membership system and for all competitions - Open, Provincial, and National.

If your club is not listed and you need a Club Code assigned, please use the Contact Us page to request a code. Specific codes can be requested but Club Codes are, ultimately, determined and assigned by CBTF personnel.

November 2021 - CBTF Protocol for music naming and tagging, revised as of November 2021.

Changes:

  • Updated to include the Youth division (abbreviated as YT), as introduced by WBTF for the 2022 World Championship
  • Updated to include BA and BI divisions for Freestyle Solo (commonly called Freestyle) and Freestyle Pair (commonly called Pair)

As of February 26, 2024 - Adjudicators previously certified as S1 through S4 are currently working through a re-certification process under the revised Skills Development Program. The S1 through S4 certifications are no longer valid. The list below will be updated as these re-cerfications are processed.

All members of the CBTF World Championships Contingent (athletes, coaches, judges, officials) are ambassadors for Baton Twirling in Canada and of the CBTF. This privilege is accompanied by certain expectations and responsibilities, as outlined in the attached Code of Conduct.

These Team Rules are made so that all Contingent members have the best possible experience. Let’s all work together to present a top-notch image and leave a positive image – a goal to which everyone must strive equally.

Canadian World Championships Athletes will participate in the Team Canada Secret Pal Exchange!

The objective is to foster team spirit and to help your Secret Pal feel happy, motivated and part of the team through little gifts, notes, cards, positive phrases, pictures etc.

Secret Pals will be assigned by our Team Manager, Steven Kopas. Don't tell anyone who your Secret Pal is - try and keep it a secret until the final exchange at the end of the competition!

CBTF will be highlighting Canadian athlete profiles through social media during the 2024 IBTF World Freestyle and Rhythmic Championship in Helsingborg, Sweden.

The attached Social Media Profile must be completed and can be submitted online in advance of March 11th to officeatcbtf [dot] ca, or submitted in person at the Contingent Clinic.

The Contingent Manager collects some personal and health information from all athletes to better serve the needs of the Contingent members.

This form contains a release allowing team management to seek medical treatment for your child in the event of an emergency.
