July 5, 2021 - Results from the indoor and outdoor divisions of the 3Baton competition are available below.

June 27, 2021 - The livestream of the 2021 Canadian Open - Virtual Individual Events competition is being hosted on the CBTF YouTube channel. The current streams are shown at the top of the page, and recorded copies of previous streams are whosn in the 'Past live streams' section.

Once a stream goes live, a direct link to that stream will be posted in the table below. Streams will go live approximately 5 minutes before that segment of the competition will begin. All times listed below are in Central Daylight Time (CDT) - remember to adjust for your local timezone.

June 5, 2021 - We have had great response from the athletes in registering for the 2021 Virtual competition.  Compressing the competition hours to accommodate both the west and east coast time zones and utilizing all of our previously selected/contracted judges for the Winner/Championship events has left some openings for the Maple Leaf Open judging positions!

The JotForm closes on Sunday, June 13th, so please have your merchandise orders submitted by that date. After you place your order using the JotForm, Shawna Spencer will contact you by email to confirm the total cost of your order and to arrange payment.

May 30, 2021 - The 2021 Canadians is a unique competition in many ways, but we are still creating a souvenir program and advertising space is available! The souvenir program for the 2021 Canadians will be distributed electronically. The advertising rate sheet is attached below.

Since the publication is electronic this year, all pages will be in full colour - which opens up many opportunities for creative artwork.

The All-Round Champion tv show is currently searching for youth athletes (US and Canadian, ages 11-15 years old) who excel in their sport to compete for the title of All-Round Champion, hosted by Hurdling legend Perdita Felicien.

They've featured sports like High Bar Gymnastics which featured Kyle Shewfelt as their on-screen Sport Star, and Dance with Amanda Cleghorn. This time around, they're looking for incredible BATON athletes

April 20, 2021 - The Information Package for the 2021 Canadian Open - Virtual Individual Disciplines is attached.

A few details to note:

Betty Davis passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021. Loving mother of Sharon (Rob) Donald. Predeceased by husband Mancel Davis.

Betty grew up on a farm near Enniskillen with her parents George and Vera Stillman. They moved to Oshawa where Betty attended O'Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Betty had a 42 year career with Bell Canada. Early in her career she worked in Port Hope, Bradford and Barrie managing the switch from operator handled calls to dial. Eventually she settled in Oshawa.

The first Canadian Team Trials was held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in May 1980 and the following athletes represented our country at the first WBTF World Championships held in Seattle, Washington in August 1980:

Manitoba Baton has created a Saturday Night Inspiration Series on Zoom. It's Free!

What is the Saturday Night Inspiration Series? It is a casual and fun Q & A where we are featuring guests who inspire us. Sessions are hosted by Kristin Macaraeg.

The lineup is, out of this world, incredible! You really won't want to miss it. We hope that you all will attend and invite your friends to join as well.

The 2021 Canadians will be run as a completely virtual competition - a 'yellow style' competition, from the Competitive and Pre-Competitive Opportunities and Phases created as part of our pandemic response.

The Athlete Commission is a key part of the planning committee - watch for more exciting special event announcements from them in the months and weeks leading up to the competition.

November 15, 2020 - At the 2020 Fall Conference, Freestyle and Pair Requirements and Content Restrictions were approved and are effective January 1, 2021. These Suggested Requirements and Content Restrictions have been packaged into the attached document, for easy reference.
