World Contingent Shirt Fundraiser

March 29, 2012 - Today the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation announced its World Contingent Shirt Fundraiser project. Fundraising for the National Contingent to the World Championships is a perennial challenge. Like the well-known ad, the experience of representing your country at the premiere event in our sport is 'priceless'. But, also as in the well-known ad, the costs of representing one's country come at great expense.

The expenses do add up... Airfare for the Team Manager and Second Judge will be in the area of $1400 per person. Practice gym time in France will cost up to 200 Euro per hour. A single return bus trip from the hotel to the venue will cost 190 Euro. And, since a Worlds Contingent is typically between 16 and 20 athletes, these expenses aren't divided among many.

The 2012 World Contingent Shirt Fundraiser builds on the well-received 'Souvenir Shirt' that was created and offered for sale to members of the 2011 Contingent to the International Cup in Jacksonville Florida. The now-iconic Beaver has moved on to Paris and is planning to conquer the Eiffel Tower! Click on the thumbnail to the right for a closer look.

A very limited number of shirts have been produced and will be offered for sale at competitions across the country. To find if one is planned near you, contact your provincial CBTF organization. And, when the shirts are for sale - act quickly. Once they are gone, they are gone!

All funds raised go directly to support the athletes that qualify to represent Canada at the 2012 World Baton Twirling Championships. Help support Canada's best achieve their goals.

The shirt being used is American Apparel Style 2001. The sizing chart for this shirt is attached below (note: XXS is not available).
