April 30, 2012 - Elan Paluck, CBTF Technical Chair, today announced the result of the compulsory draw for the 2012 World Championship. At the 2012 World Championships, athletes in the Junior divisions shall perform SET B

March 29, 2012 - Today the Canadian Baton Twirling Federation announced its World Contingent Shirt Fundraiser project. Fundraising for the National Contingent to the World Championships is a perennial challenge. Like the well-known ad, the experience of representing your country at the premiere event in our sport is 'priceless'.

March 20, 2012 - The commitment and contributions of Baton Twirling's volunteers will once again be demonstrated at the 2011 Ontario Sport Awards. Michelle Bretherick has has selected as an award recipient for the Syl Apps Volunteer Achievement Award. The award will be presented on April 19 at the 2011 Ontario Sports Awards Ceremony.

March 18, 2011 - Four CBTF athletes were invited to compete at the recent Congressional Cup 2012 Invitational competition held at Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

March 11, 2012 - One year after the powerful earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan, the region continues its recovery. The earthquake, which measured magnitude 9.0, occurred at 2:46 pm local time had an epicenter approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) east of the Oshika Peninsula of Tōhoku.

March 9, 2012 - The Canadian Baton Twirling Federation (CBTF) today issued a Technical Directive intended to provide its interpretation of the WBTF-WDSF Athlete Code of Conduct and how that Code may impact its athletes.

January 29, 2012 - The World Baton Twirling Federation (WBTF) concluded its Winter Meetings and announced that Baton Twirling has moved a step closer to achieving its Olympic Dream and participating in a world multi-sport games competition.

January 24, 2012 - The Ontario Baton Twirling Association (OBTA) is honoured to be hosting the 2012 Canadian Baton Twirling National Team Trials, being held at Georgian College in Barrie Ontario May 19 – 21, 2012.

January 10, 2012 - Two judges will represent Canada at the 2012 WBTF World Championships in Villebon sur Yvette, France. Joining Ron Kopas (CBTF Judges' Rep) will be Stephanie Hewis.

January 10, 2012 - The Canadian Baton Twirling Federation is pleased to announce the selection of the following judges for the 2012 Canadian Team Trials in Barrie, Ontario:

October 9, 2011 - CBTF- and USTA-certified Judges are invited to submit an application to judge at the following 2012 National and International competitions:

At the CBTF Summer Board Meeting, the hosting rights for the 2011 Canadian Team Trials competition were awarded to the Ontario Baton Twirling Association. Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario will be be the competition venue.

The OBTA is planning a competition with something for everyone - an Open competition for athletes of all levels will be offered in conjunction with the Team Trials event.
